Industrial Heritage in Chemnitz

Chemnitz was once the 'Saxon Manchester', one of the most important industrial cities in Europe. This past is still alive today and makes industrial heritage a focus of its own. In the Saxon Industrial Museum, housed in a historic foundry, stand steam engines, machine tools and vehicles that tell of 200 years of inventive spirit and the working world.
