Peacefood

Peacefood is one of the flagships of the alternative scene on the Sonnenberg and combines a fully vegan bistro with a zero-waste shop under one roof. After the concept found more and more approval and needed more space, owner Ina Hoyer found suitable premises on Uhlandstraße, in the former Wiesener butcher's shop, whose earlier purpose today stands in tongue-in-cheek contrast to the consistently plant-based approach. So a place has emerged that brings together enjoyment, sustainability and neighborhood.

On the menu is a daily changing lunch, plus delicious cake, vegan döner and burgers as well as small dishes for in between. Everything is purely plant-based, uncomplicated and at fair, low prices, so the bistro has become a popular meeting point for everyone who wants to eat consciously. The attached zero-waste shop invites you to shop package-free afterward, which underscores the holistic approach of the house.

Peacefood thus stands as an example of the transformation of the Sonnenberg into a lively creative quarter, in which numerous cafés, bistros and small shops have arisen in a short time. Whether for a quick, honest lunch, a piece of cake in the afternoon or a conscious stop while roaming through the scene district: anyone looking for vegan cuisine without fuss and with an attitude is exactly right here.
