Dorint Kongresshotel Chemnitz

8.1 1990 guest reviews

The Dorint Kongresshotel Chemnitz, long known as the Mercure Hotel, rises above downtown on Brückenstraße as a striking high-rise. Right in front of the house stands the Karl Marx Monument, the head affectionately called the 'Nischel' by the people of Chemnitz, while the Red Tower and the market square are only a few minutes' walk away. Via a short path, the hotel is also connected to the neighboring congress and event center.

The three-star superior house offers modernly equipped rooms with a good view, free Wi-Fi and a fitness and sauna area. A special experience is the panorama restaurant on one of the upper floors, from which a wide view opens over Chemnitz and the surrounding foothills of the Erzgebirge and where a large breakfast buffet is served in the morning. The connection to the congress center makes the house the first choice for conference and trade-fair guests.

The central location recommends the hotel equally for business travelers and city tourists. From the Karl Marx Monument, the Theaterplatz ensemble, the Art Collections and the pedestrian zones are comfortably reachable on foot, and the main station is quickly connected too. A practical, well-located base with a view right in Chemnitz.
